It made it after a full day of waiting and calling British Airways along with American Express to mitigate the situation. I have my bike and I'm looking for a bike shop here in Cannes to get CO2 cartridges and extra tubes. Sun sun is out after an exciting evening of dining and thunderstorms over the Rivera.
Dinner last night was in a quaint village, La Napoule. The meal was exquisite with escargots, scampi, a warm goat cheese salad, filet with bearnaise and the best creme brulee I've ever had (which is saying a lot!).
Our local bakery makes the most incredible quiche and pastries and I think I was their first customer this morning and probably for the next week or so.
The day today is amazing. The sky crystal blue, low humidity and water azur!
My number for the race is 2328. Still checking to see how you'll be able to follow along.
That's it for now... no French this time. I'm learning (as if I didn't know) that I'm terrible at it.
